Massasoit LPN to RN '15-'16

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi All,

I applied for the LPN to RN program at Massasoit for Sept 2015. Does anyone know when we will hear from them. Also does anyone know what the schedules are like?!

Thank You:)

Does brockton hospital school of nursing have lpn to rn?! bummer wish I knew.

Yes they do but check out their website because the last I checked; they only accept science transfers up to three years, unlike Massasoit that goes up to seven years.

So i just talked with admissions, they said LPN letters wont go out until the end of may! Ugh because they need to see how many spots are open, the waiting is killing me!

OMG seriously I'm panicking now:(( I wonder how many applicants they got this year.

Not sure but i would assume they have to wait and see how many current students don't pass this semester, i'm hoping they are over shooting the date!

From pasts I've heard that they typically accept less than 6 for the lpn to rn day program...

Well lpn bridge usually have to wait longer for letters than the generic student,s and this because we they have to unfortunately wait to find out how many students fail out:(.

Last year when I wasn't accepted I met with admissions and was given a list. Here goes:

63 applicants

12 admits

7 waitlisted

So the six may or may not be the number based on passes, but last year they admitted 12. So lets all keep our fingers crossed and keep praying.

I applied for evening lpn to rn in hopes of a better chance cause they accept more people... so hopefully we all hear soon. :)

So, i just talked to admissions and asked when the letters would go out for lpn to rn she said they are still reviewing but should go out sometime next month, then out of curiosity i asked how many spots were available.... She said for the day or evening? I said day, she put me on hold and came back and said around 40?!?!?! Do you think this is a mistake? If that many failed that scares me

Oh that definitely sounds like a mistake. That sounds more like the evening program. Keep in mind that the generic day usually accepts about 33/35, and it's based on failure from that space is made available to us, so that number does not equate when you do the math. I think she may have inadvertently given you the wrong info, probably due to all the distractions they have now. Remember it's down to the finish line now so people are constantly calling and just showing up with a lot of questions pertaining to acceptance. I have to admit that if they had that many space I would definitely be in, but somehow I'm doubtful:(

I swear this feeling I have is very close to feeling like torture. Can I say i have no fingernails or cuticle left!!

I hear you, no fingernails left here either... I was looking on some of the older forums and it looks like most LPNs got letters around the middle of may, this waiting is extremely stressful!

I spoke with them last week. I was told letters for traditional day program accepts 30-40 students and letters already went out. Lpn to rn day program don't know till grades are in for current students and to see how many don't make it sadly. Which they said it can be anywhere from 6-12 students. They then said lpn to rn evening program letters will go out early to mid may. evening lpn to rn accepts 30-40 students

This sounds more like it.
