Hi! I have also applied to the massasoit program- but the day one. I have a 3.55 major GPA, and I got B's in AP 1 and 2, and an A in micro. All other classes are completed with As and A-. I got an 88 on the reading TEAS. Im really hoping I get in but I am really doubting myself. The wait is killing me. Im also waiting to hear from brockton hospital, and I got into laboure, but thats my last choice!

I have a 4.0 GPA but I only got 69 on the TEAS (1 point out of a possible 4). That is my second time doing it and I have never been able to get pass 36 questions. I am a really slow reader so needless to say that is a stress factor. I'm told that a lot of students have 4.0GPA's, so right now I am banking on my essay to give me the maximum 12 points.
I too have been accepted at Laboure but like you it is my last choice, and I may not even go and just try again next year for Massasoit.
Good Luck
A 4.0 is wonderful. I was also thinking taking the year and applying to all the community colleges I can. I am in chem right now, which is killing me and a lot of schools require you take that before applying. I want to apply to quincy too so I may skip out on laboure. Who has told you many student have 4.0s? Im also hoping for a 12 on my essay! Im hoping my TEAS helps too, I got 3 of the 4 points for that. If I added my points and I remember correctly I had like 53 or something.
Good luck to you too!

I was talking to someone from admissions about my "slow reading skills" and they suggested that I try to get a letter from my doctor stating that; that way "special" accommodations would be made for me to get more time. (Basically they were saying I would have to have a diagnosis of some form of disability). It was then that it was suggested to me that it would be best to get the diagnosis because a lot of students have 4.0GPA's. Right now I have 47 points but if I get 12 for the letter I'm thinking I should be okay, but who knows, I may end up messing that up too:(( Oh the stress of waiting is killing me.
My plan is to take chemistry this Fall as well for the same reason. In doing so I hope to apply to BCC or Quincy.
Good Luck and I hope we see each other in class this fall:)
Hi,I applied in January as well for LPN to RN at MCC. Any idea when we will hear anything? Did you apply for days or nights.
I just got off the phone with admissions and was told that letters will not be sent out until the middle of May!! Somebody kill me now. Here I thought I was close to finding out, only to be told I have to wait another month! AHHHHHH

Hello All,
This is my first post and it is about the LPN to RN program at MCC. I would love to hear from past/current students about the waiting process, and the program itself. I applied in January and is currently awaiting the acceptance or worse; the rejection letter:( Positive thoughts!!
I am also here to answer any questions to those who are considering the this program.
Thank you:)
