Massage...how often do you indulge?

Published

A nurse's work can be hard on the back and feet. I get a massage once a month and it really helps. Anyone else?

If you have never had a massage I highly recommend you get one!

I can relate to Stephs too shy comment. I am currently learning massage, and as much as I love to massage other people, I have had a lot of difficulty exposing my body for other students to practice on. I know it doesn't make sense intellectually , but by the time I trust the person and start to relax the massage is over.... However, it's been 6 months now that I've been learning and I am getting better, so if you do want a massage Steph, there is hope, or you could just get face, hands and feet done.

Oh my gosh I can't even get a pedicure ... It seems so humbling a thing for someone to do for you.

And face seems very intimate to me.

I dunno, if you cover my head and feet and tush and NEVER turn me over I might consider it. ;)

Zenman, your "Zen Shiatsu" sounds interesting. :)

Modesty is not a problem for me unless I'm attracted to the person doing the massaging then I might become modest. That being said, I would just like to share what happened to me on a nursing conference I went to in Arkansas 2 weeks ago. A gentlemen (no pun intended since he was definately not gentle) whom is also a nurse and I suppose was trying to 'flirt' in his own way walks up behind me and says, "I think you could use a massage." Well he was gentle by no means. "Pinchy" I would describe it. He then proceeds to tell me, "You are so tense." Well no wonder he was killing me! :uhoh3: Mmm How nice it would be to have a massage from someone who knows what they are doing. :)
