Massachusetts General Hospital Institute Of Health Professions (MGH IHP) Direct Entry Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone! This thread is for people applying to MGH Institute's Direct-Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEN) program for Fall 2023 start. Wanted to start this topic since I hadn't seen one yet. Good luck everyone!

Hi!

No student housing at MGH

Best bet is to go on there housing site, register , and you will see some housing there and roommate info as well.

I looked for a place close to the T as I don't have a car

and primarily focused my search in Cambridge and East Boston

I currently live outside of the city and plan to commute in. FB Marketplace is a good place to look for housing - so many people looking for roommates and usually can avoid a broker's fee. Cambridge, Somerville, Charlestown, East Boston, Winthrop are good places to look if you want something nearby. Another consideration could be living somewhere on the MBTA Commuter line (what I am doing). It is a bit further but usually cheaper!

Hello everyone & congrats to everyone that has been accepted.... Has anyone been accepted more recently? As in late April/March? I recently applied for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care pre-specialty after receiving an email stating that MGH was still accepting applications and I was wondering if anyone else has applied this late and heard anything back ?

SN: I hadn't previously applied because I didn't think that I had a competitive enough GPA (2.91) even though the GPA requirement is only 2.75.

I am accepted into 2023, I would apply you never know. Also you can reach out to program to see what is their recommendation.

When did you apply? How long did it take for you to receive a response? What was your GPA? if you don't mind me asking.

I applied, just waiting on my NursingCas to verify my applications. I also submitted additional documents via email to admissions such as an additional essay to explain my extenuating circumference and a copy of my EMT & CNA license, and my TEAS results.

I WAS JUST ACCEPTED FOR ADULT GERONTOLOGY ACUTE CARE!!!

Congratulations!!

Congrats! When did you submit your application?

Hi, I applied for this upcoming cycle in fall 2024 and wanted to hear back, Does MGH give a BSN or only the master's? also, when did they start reaching out to people? and were there any interviews?

Hi

They also have an ABSN program that has several start dates. The DEN is only Fall

start.

No interviews

Hi

does anyone know when is the next cycle for DEN program @ MGH ?

Has anyone who applied for the March 1 deadline heard back yet? Admissions told me at the end of Feb that I'd hear back in 6 weeks or so, so should be any day now...
