Are there any Maryville University students using this site? I am starting their fast track BSN in August as a junior and I am just looking to share info, experiences, whatever...

I am a grad of Maryville. It was a very bad experience for me but that was in the 80's. I hope it has improved. My instructors were a revolving door, only there 1 term. They promised me roses and 18 months of classes on top my 4 year business degree-I was there 5 years because they kept shutting down the program or changing the core requirements. I made straight a's and did well on boards but the college was a nightmare.

I'm attending Maryville right now. I got my LPN in the early 90's from Jefferson College in Hillsboro. Now that my kids are a little bit older, I'm back at school on evenings and weekends, getting my RN and BSN. I really like this school. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

I have applied to Maryville's Weekend College for the fall of 08. How hard is it to get in? I am taking a class there this fall so I can be considered in the "current student" pool, even though I have completed all of my prereqs.

What's a typical semester schedule like for the nights and weekends program? How many hours do you study outside of class? Is it doable to have a job during the day and do the WEC at night/on the weekend, along with having young children at home? I have a supportive dh, but I'm still wondering if I will be in over my head.

Sorry for all of the questions! I am so excited about NS- I hope I am accepted! I know this program is very popular, so it might be a long shot.

Thanks!

They now require that you have Maryville credits in order to get accepted. The more you have, the better the chance you have of getting in..........regardless of your gpa.
