Marymount University spring 2016 nursing program

Published

Hey everybody! I just wanted some help / advice. I am applying for Marymount university in Virginia for the spring 2016 start with a 3.65 cumulative GPA, a 3.4 prerequisite GPA (they don't look at prerequisite GPA though) and a 72.8% on the TEAS. I am going to retake the TEAS for hopefully a better score ( that was my first time and I could have studied way more than I did). I was just wondering if anyone else was applying for spring or if anyone else got into Marymounts nursing program with similar stats. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe they are sending out acceptance letters a little early. I applied for the 2nd review and received an acceptance letter yesterday. Don't be nervous! I am sure you will be fine. I will be living in Arlington, VA, not too far from the university. Are you currently living in the area?

No idea about scholarships (haven't been able to find any yet). But don't forget about private loans (check out Suntrust bank)...I know they aren't the best option but they are an option when we don't get a lot of federal ones due to the 2nd degree.

Thanks! I'll have to check it out. Unfortunately, so far I have not qualified for private loans through Sallie Mae or Wells Fargo because of my current student loan debt amount. This sucks! Getting an education shouldn't be so expensive.

Hey,I just want to ask you since I am also applying to Marymount for fall 2016 in second review, isn't it have any difference(the chance of acceptance)when compared to first review, .pls share me your idea

To my knowledge it doesn't make a difference. But honestly I'm not sure. I applied first review, but I know people in my cohort who applied in the second review.

Thank you so much, for your respond.iam just tensioned of what if they get enough student at first review and not even go over the second one

Greetings future and current students,

I just recently applied during the second review for the fall 2016 cohort. I'm feeling quite nervous and anxious about my chances of getting into the program. My GPA is not the most competitive (3.0) but I have a ton of HCE and great recommendations.

Does anyone know the average GPA for students that are accepted into the program? Do they look at the application holistically or mainly focus on GPA?

Current students, how do you like the program? Pros and cons?

Thanks in advance for your time....

Any luck in getting a reply?

Hi VA08,

Any idea on the admitting average GPA was for your cohort (lowest and highest)?
