I would like to connect with anyone who is attending Marymounts FNP program this Fall (2020). Also have you registered for courses yet ? I seem to be having some trouble and am attempting to reach out to the nursing department.

Hi I’m interested in Marymount FNP program. It would be great if you could talk a little about the admissions for you so far and if you could post an update on how you like it once you start? I’m not planning to start for another year or so and am looking at schools now. Thank you!
Sure!
I applied to 2 other schools as well. Marymount’s application was actually a bit more detailed than the others. The process has you go through NursingCAS (70$ fee) to provide your background information (Experience, Transcripts, References, Statement of Purpose). I would recommend to take a look at application deadlines and make sure you allow yourself enough time to provide careful responses. I believe the SOP had a 500 word limit - I had 2 other people review it, and I revised it multiple times (It is hard to incorporate things like your background experience, Why now? Why Marymount? Why FNP? etc in a short letter). The transcript process can take a week or 2 to upload / verify (optional 60$ fee to have it done for you, I chose this option for accuracy purposes). It is required to have 2 references that must be a previous instructor or a supervisor, a link will be sent to them (such as a manager; a charge nurse is not accepted). I liked that Marymount then responded within 2 weeks after the deadline for phase 2 - interviews. It seems that across the board that you will be asked to briefly introduce yourself followed by questions related to your understanding of the FNP role (issues that FNPs may encounter and possible solutions, where is healthcare going from an FNP perspective, etc). After the interview, I waited a week to hear back for acceptance. Tips - be confident, do your research on the school (mission statement, values), and highlight your strengths.

I would like to connect with someone starting FNP at Marymount in Fall 2020. Please let me know.
Hey Sam_5,
I am on course to take Advanced path, pharm, and leadership this fall.
Hey!
Are you doing online MSN FNP? I’m enrolled in population health and innovative models of care delivery. Did you use textbooks for these two courses?
