Marquette University Direct MSN (Hybrid-Pleasant Prairie) for Fall 2017

Published

Hi! I'm in the beginning stages of putting my application packet together for the Fall 2017 Direct MSN Hybrid program at Marquette University. So far, I have been very pleased with the conversations that I have had with Rob Haworth, the admissions advisor for the Pleasant Prairie site. My husband completed his undergrad at Marquette, so I know the wonderful culture of Marquette and knew that this was where I wanted to go to complete my MSN.

Also, I was wondering if there was anyone that has or is currently going through the hybrid program through Marquette? How has your experience been? Thank you!

Hello all!

I am applying to the next cohort in January. I was wondering if you guys could talk about your experience there near December? Congrats on getting accepted and good luck! :)

Just wanted to let all know that I just got off the phone with financial aid and for the first 15 months we are eligible to use the Graduate Stafford Loan and Grad-Plus. Hope this helps!!

Has anyone heard of any scholarship opportunities for Marquette? I've been meaning to call but recently went out of the country without a working phone so come Monday I plan on giving the financial aide office a ring. (...so if I find out anything I'll post it here sometime next week.) My app was sent in on March 6th but wasn't verified until recently due to one of my recommendations letter being turned in the Friday before. Whomp, whomp...but hopefully they will review my app soon because Marquette and Vandy are my top two schools!

Mine was verified March 9th. I heard from Rob last week he does not know when they will review the next round of applicants, but congrats to all who got accepted. I am a nervous wreck right now! Just curious-- did you recieve your email acceptance through your marquette email or the email you listed in CAS? Praying I am just waiting on a "yes" and not a waitlist or no. :(

To those who were admitted, what was your timeline to when your app was verified to when you were admitted? I am freaking out!

I received an email in my personal email I listed on nursingcas.

Hi Texas5s - Marquette does have scholarships, although I know that most of them are offered in the MSN phase of the program, or 15 months in. I plan on using Stafford and Grad Plus Loans to cover the costs and then get a fellowship and scholarships afterwards.

Abrazel- Like apb0912, I got my acceptance email via the one I submitted through NursingCAS. Please keep us updated on your status! :) My application was verified within minutes of my last recommendation of being submitted.

Thanks alaskamommyof3 and congrats!!! Abrazel, I'm in the same boat as you...hopefully they can check ours soon because that would be a load off our shoulders. :)

Ahh this helps maybe relieve some stress! Congrats to you both:)!

I headd from Rob last week they are now able to see my application and I'm in the waiting stage at this point! I'm so excited I can not contain it, I can not wait to hear from them.

I just received my acceptance email!!! I am super interested in joining the Facebook group! :) I can not wait to meet you all
