Hey guys, I didn't see a thread for Marquette's direct entry MSN program for fall 2018 so I figured I'd start one. I just submitted my app for the PP location today for their spring admission, but I am also applying to Marquette's traditional program for fall 2018. Do they review applications based off date submitted or date verified?
Hope to start school with some of you soon!
Hey guys! I recently applied to the Spring 2019 program beginning in January at the PP location. I submitted my application on October 17th. I have not heard anything back, but I am not feeling too confident! can anyone that got accepted to this program tell me their stats? I can give you mine.
I have a 3.31 cumulative GPA, a few Cs from my freshman year that I am retaking. I have worked at a physical therapy aide for 1.5 years and I am also a medical scribe in the ER 20 hours a week. I had an internship in a cardiopulmonary rehab unit during college, and also volunteered at a nursing home. I submitted 4 letters of recommendation (one from a PT, one from a supervisor, one from a nurse, and one from an exercise physiologist that supervised me as an intern). I think they're all pretty strong.
Is this similar to anyone that has gotten into the program? Very curious, thank you!!
Hi, my guess is they have not had another committee review yet. I would ask the admissions advisor you've been working with when the next review is scheduled! Mine informed me of the first review session so i made sure to get it in before then and heard back within a week of the review date regarding my acceptance!
I think your odds are good! My cumulative GPA was a 3.24, a few C's on my transcript from my freshman days as well that I did not retake. A pre req GPA of 3.8. I did take the GRE (not needed by Marquette with my GPA), but I needed it for other programs so I decided just to submit my scores to Marq as a supplement, which may have helped. I just graduated undergrad in May and have bee working as a full time medical scribe since. I have a bunch of volunteer and shadow experience for various professionals. I submitted 3 letters of req from my professor, my provider, and a previous supervisor. Hope this helps gage your odds!
Sounds like you have great experience. Hopefully you will hear back soon, Best of luck!
Hi everyone! I just applied for the summer 2019 program- how long did it take to hear back after submitting your application (for those of you that did)? Thanks in advance!
Hi!
I am not sure if my comment went through earlier, I submitted my application for the Milwaukee campus on Oct 26 and received an acceptance on Nov 1st!

I was wondering about mine too since I filed my FAFSA in February... I spoke to someone in the financial aid office and was told we should be hearing back about summer financial aid about late April so hopefully soon here.
