Hi! I have not seen a discussion for this cohort yet so I thought I would make one! I am still waiting on an admission decision and was hoping to hear when others get their decision!
@jennasophie Hi!! I'll be relocating, do you know how safe the area around the main campus is? I plan to live on campus in one of the Marquette U apartments. It's far from PP but they're way cheaper than the apartments around PP. Do you think this is a good idea?
@Fritz1005 Same!! I was thinking the apartments owned by MU. If you're also looking at those, there is already a waitlist for the studios and 1 bedroom in case you don't know yet. I didn't know that there are waitlists months before and I wish I asked the advisor this

I would definitely find a place like 10 or 15 min outside of the main campus. lots of bad areas over there. My friend is in the PA school at marquette and has a nice apartment like 12 minutes out. Yeah pp is more expensive but feels a lot safer and is a more suburban area.
@jennasophie Thanks for the info!! I'll definitely consider off campus housing as well! How bad is Winter btw? I read somewhere that classes are sometimes cancelled due to the weather.
Also, have they told you when your application will be reviewed?

Hmm I mean we definitely have a few snow storms during the Winter, but nothing crazy. I would say a couple to a few snow days per year maybe. They plow pretty well near the schools and apartment areas, so you shouldn't worry about anything like that. Usually you'll just have online work to do in that case.
And no they didn't tell me anything like that! They said it can take 1-3 weeks to get an answer. Should I email them?
@jennasophie It's actually not as bad as I thought!! I was worried as I won't be having a car and will be commuting.
The last review cycle was last week Tuesday and the advisor called me a week before that letting me know that my application will be reviewed for that cycle. I'm sure the advisor will call you to let you know as well! :)

Hi! Congrats! I am also applying for fall 2023. I submitted Feb 21st and have not heard anything yet. I live like 15 minutes from the pleasant prairie campus.
