Maricopa TRADITIONAL Nursing

Published

I figured I would start my own thread for those who are planning on going into the TRADITIONAL nursing program for Maricopa. My time stamp is April of 2019 - I have been constantly checking my email and I was told I could expect placement for Spring of 2022 - anyone else?! Good luck everyone and hang in there!!

Hey Everyone,

I just checked my student email and found out I got placed for traditional fall 2022. I don't know if I am ready to start nursing school this year. I'm stay at home mom with 2 toddlers that are not in school yet and I have one on the way. If I was to start school there is no way we can afford daycare and we do not have family near by that can watch the kids while I'm at school. My husband is always out town for his work. My question is what is a typical schedule of nursing school at Maricopa county college? I have a friend that told me when she went to Glendale, they went to class 3 days a week including 12hr clinical. This was before pandemic. What is typical class during the pandemic?

Thank you in advance and congratulation to all of you who've received placement/acceptance,

Lulu

Hi Lulu congratulations on your acceptance and the new baby. Is it possible to the weekend cohorts? The hours are more flexible.

I got placed at PC and I believe they don't have weekend program. I think Glendale is the only one that offers weekend program. I deferred my placement, it will give me time to figure things out until then.
