  1. I got placed at PC and I believe they don't have weekend program. I think Glendale is the only one that offers weekend program. I deferred my placement, it will give me time to figure things out until then.
  2. Hey Everyone, I just checked my student email and found out I got placed for traditional fall 2022. I don't know if I am ready to start nursing school this year. I'm stay at home mom with 2 toddlers that are not in school yet and I have one on the way. If I was to start school there is no way we can afford daycare and we do not have family near by that can watch the kids while I'm at school. My husband is always out town for his work. My question is what is a typical schedule of nursing school at Maricopa county college? I have a friend that told me when she went to Glendale, they went to class 3 days a week including 12hr clinical. This was before pandemic. What is typical class during the pandemic? Thank you in advance and congratulation to all of you who've received placement/acceptance, Lulu
  3. Hi, I applied PC nursing (traditional) almost two years ago. I just received an email that said I might get a placement for Spring 2022. Placement cycle begins September 9th (I think). If anyone is out there who has attended PC or any of Maricopa county community colleges nursing since covid, what is your experience like? Are all the classes virtual? Do you go to clinicals and labs? If someone please can share their experience. Thank you in advance.
  4. Hi All! those of you that already started the program, can you Please tell me what your schedule is like? How much you spent on books? What is clinical schedule like? I'm planning on applying this week. Thank you! Congratulations to you all.
  5. Mrsboots, thanks for the insights. I went to the campus today and spoke to few first block students. From what I've perceived everyone seems to like it. No one had anything negative to say. Now I feel a lot better. I'm excited and nervous...August needs come here already! Lol. Good luck on your last few days of classes and finals. :-)
  6. Reading this thread was hilarious! Lol. Congrats to all of you. :-)
  7. Gateway is excellent school. Two of my friends are graduating this May from GWCC. Anyways, I found out that I am unable to change schools at point. Advisor told me to complete first block and see how my experience is. Have you completed your health assessment and background check? I need to do mine, time is flying by so fast! :-)
  8. Ill be starting in August. I received my orientation package today. I'm doing the associate. I don't know I feel little nervous. Everyone I've talked to is telling me how SCC has terrible program.
  9. So I've recently received a placement to SCC's nursing program for fall of 2014. Everyone I've talked has told me SCC has terrible program. The instructors are unhelpful and mean, they have high failure rate and my co-worker's sister who went to SCC failed block 4. This is starting to freak me out! Is there anyone out there who went to this program? If so how was your experience? Should I be considered?
  10. Congratulation. I've got accepted to SCC fall 2014. With the CEP, do u start taking the university courses in summer or you've started already?
  11. I would take it in person...it's super fun and less work load than if you were take it online. Chandler/Gilbert has awesome teacher named Orozco. Good luck!

CateInPhoenix, Yeah, hang in there. I know the waiting part sucks! You might be able to get in spring 2015. :-)
  13. R u in phx or Scottsdale area? If so you should apply at Scottsdale Village Square. They are looking for RN...new or experienced doesn't matter. They will train you. Good luck! :-)

@CateInPhoenix Hello Cate, I waited exactly two years... My date stamp was 4/13/2012. R u waiting for placement?
  15. Gaabey replied to Gaabey's topic in Arizona Nursing
@Mrsboots87 Thank you so much. I'm so excited...after all this wait I'm finally starting! Like you suggested I'm going to relax and maybe work little bit harder to save some money. I hope all goes for you at @SCC. :-)
