Maricopa Nursing Date Time Stamp Question

Published

Hi I just applied to the maricopa nursing program. I got my date/time stamp today and was wondering how far down the list I am in my group. I got 8:01:01. Does that mean there are 60 people in front of me? I would ask the nursing advisers but I imagine they probably received a million emails today and I don't want to be annoying :)

I have no idea how it works for the groups. I know they just kind of go in order, but I don't know what time they start with. But overall, you're far. Far down on the list lol. Sorry, but the wait is really long. I would highly recommend getting your coreqs out of the way and looking into one of the CEP programs. You'll probably get in much quicker doing that than waiting :)

I know they start at 8:00:01, so I'm not that far down the list in my group, I know it'll be a two year wait but I was wondering if they use a person for every second or not. It didn't say so on the info video. Was just curious how lucky I got. Definitely going to be working on the cep program in the meantime.

The wait is longer than 2 years, hate to say it. If I hadn't done the CEP I'd still be waiting to be placed. My times tamp was Oct 2011.

My time stamp is 6/10/11 8:02:28 a.m. I have not been placed yet:(

I'm pretty sure its one person per second, so you are #61, which is far better than me (I'm #148 in my group). I would say you got lucky  (but it depends who you ask, Lol).

It seems like the cep program is the way to go, despite the costs. Your time stamp isn't so bad, I see people in the six minute range and though it probably doesn't make much of a difference in the long run, it's nice to know we're just that much closer. It seems the cep program is the way to go, despite the costs.

If you don't have the patience to wait, CEP is the way to go for sure:yes:.

I am pretty sure that there is a person for every second. And I in no way intend to sound snooty or rude, but the wait time for new applicants is more along the 4 year time frame. For example, I'm 8/11 stamped at 8:03:36. A couple 8/11 were placed today but mainly 6/11 and earlier leftovers. I have a good chance of being placed fall/14 which will make it 3 years for me. If my selections are taken it could even be spring/15 which is 3.5 years. Since the CEP program opened up right around the time I was placed in the pool, the waitlist has taken longer to work through. Plus, when I first applied, there were 2100 in the pool and each semester around 45o ish students were getting in. Now usually under 400 get placed and a third of them are CEP. Basically take the CEP pre reqs or be prepared for a very long wait.

I was placed today! Time stamp: 6/10/11 @ 8:02:28 am

Congrats Sutherlynn!! So awesome!
