Hi,
I am considering applying for Marian University in Nashville, TN. This program will have its first cohorts in May. Is anyone else applying? Feel free to share your experiences with Marian University ABSN so far :-)

Hi!
I'm applying as well. My pre-reqs are about 11 years old, so I'll take to retake those. I plan to be in the August 2014 cohort.
I'm applying to the May cohort .... Submitted the app last week. If anyone has to take AP 1 and 2... Chem...microbiology ... Or psychology go to portage learning.... It's much cheaper

Hi, I called about this program also. I didn't know they were starting one in Aug. I may be interested. I am concerned about cost too. Wondering if you can still maintain a job and do this also. I will have all my pre-reqs finished I think so I will probably enter the nursing courses directly. Anyone starting the May program, would like to hear how you are doing?!! :)

Also in the process of applying! I am very nervous about how the program is/will function. I've read great things about the ABSN program in Indianapolis, so I would hope it would be reflected in Nashville. I am thinking I may ask the ladies in admissions if there is any way we can speak with a student that started the May cohort. Has anyone heard about students receiving jobs after the program?
Hey pandapack! Just wondering if you have any updates on this program? Did you apply?
Hi Marburg, I did talk with someone here in nashville re: the program. You can call about this. Their first class was in May. The next one is in Aug. I decided against it simply because of the cost, 50K. I already have huge loans out from a BS and a MS so I can't really do this. Also, I am an LPN and I thought I would just skip the whole LPN-RN route and do it in 16 months to get the BSN but the cost of it just doesn't make sense. I owe more than that right now!!
Don't go through any Publishing place, just call the Marian number online or do marianuniversity.com, I think that will get you where you want to go. But, they are extremely helpful and will answer all your questions! Good luck!
Thank you, Panda! I've been touching base with the admissions people, but I think it's always good to hear from other prospective students :)
Best of luck to you. Being an LPN is a huge asset! That should make you competitive for community colleges, I would think. Especially with the prior degrees?
Do you live in Nashville currently? I live in Oregon and am just trying to think about having to move to Tennessee..I've never even visited

Just wondering if any of you would like to share your experiences with the Nashville location? I have applied but am still waiting to get one more transcript into them. I was in the process of moving from WA so things got hectic. I'm trying to figure out if this would be a good fit for me.

Is anyone else applying to this program or can attest to their experience? Can't find much info on here from anyone about the nashville campus.
