Has anyone applied, received an interview or been accepted to the CRNA program for Marian University 2021 fall?
Hey everybody! I received an acceptance letter via email today!
Unfortunately, I do still have a couple other CRNA interviews incoming at schools that I do prefer over Marian due to location. The interviews are after the deadline stated to declare acceptance into Marian's program. Not sure what to do. Regardless, I'm elated that I'm actually accepted into a program! Marian's program director and faculty seem fantastic (at least from what I can tell so far), so regardless, I'm very happy!
Good luck to everyone applying!
I have a few questions to those who have applied if you don't mind! :)
What makes a CRNA applicant competitive? My undergrad GPA from IU is a 3.72. I do not have a lot of science courses, though. Will that be problematic? Should I take undergrad science courses prior to applying? I also took micro when I was fresh out of high school and got a C! Will that matter?
I plan on going to a Level 1 trauma hospital and working in the MICU or SICU for at least 2 years before applying to CRNA school.
Is there anything else that I can do to boost my chances? Thanks!

Congrats! I got an acceptance email today too! So exciting! I think if I were in your shoes I would accept because what if you don’t get acceptance to the other schools then you are out a spot! And if you do get accepted and want to pick a different school you are out less than $1000 and you give someone on the waitlist an amazing opportunity! Good luck with your choice and interviews!
I also got My acceptance letter today. So excited. Just like @LoopyBullet, I am also awaiting other schools I interviewed At and I have one more interview after the due date. The faculty members do seem amazing. However, I will accept the spot and if your preferred school does choose you, you can always switch over and let someone else have your spot at Marian!

I suggest joining the facebook group I.C.U. Dreaming About Anesthesia. There are a ton of resources and very supportive people in the group with a lot of knowledge to share.

I talked to the office yesterday and they are still doing interviews this week. They’re hoping to maybe have them out next Friday but if not the 15th at the latest is what I was told.
