Simple tips on calculations drops per minute short cut.
Amount in ml. divide no. of hours divide drop factor.
1000 ml to run for 8 hours. how many drops/min.
different drop factors: 10 gtts = to 6
15 gtts= to 4
20 gtts= to 3
eg. 1000 divide 8 divide 6 = 20.8 or 21ggts/min ( drop factor is 10)
1000 divide 8 divide 4 = 31.25 or 31gtts/min ( drop factor is 15)
1000 divide 8 divide 3 = 41.6 or 42 gtts/min ( drop factor is 20)
