I start march 1! The program is flexible 12-18 month program. I just did my first day of orientation today! :lol2:

OMG I'm starting in in less than a month now. I am so excited and nervous. I'm slowly but surely starting to get ready. The school told me to be prepared for orientation to take a full day! I also have LOTS of stuff I pick up that day. I need a duffle bag to get everything.

You buy everything yourself, how ever you like it. You will need to buy a stethoscope (any kind any brand), a blood pressure cuff-walmart has them for $10, a watch, a pen light (walmart or the nurse store at park city has them) and a medical clip board- office max. You need all of it by the time you get to your 2nd check off which is head to toe assessment. The school sells a DVD of the assessment for you to watch and practice with at home for $10, I can just give you mine though, I'm never watching it again, hahaha.

hello all! my name is tammy and I start school on march 29th at university of district of columbia (UDC). my classes are mon-thurs 5pm-9pm 12-15 months. i am terrified and excited all at the same time :uhoh3: I look forward to going thru this life changing experience with all of my fellow march starts and I know with one another's support we will all do exceptionally well :) kudos to us!!!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted. We all know how hard it is to get into a nursing program and its kind of difficult to explain why your admissions process is so up in the air to "the others". I m on pins and needles waiting to hear something from the vocational school I applied to. Classes start in march. Admissions say letters will be going out one way or the other today:heartbeat. Hope Ill be joining you guys soon.:uhoh3:

Well I got done with my physical today and officially feel abused! I can't believe my orientation is less than 3 weeks away!

I know it's crazy!! I have been poked and pricked and prodded non stop this month lol... I've lost 20 pounds since I got fitted for my uniform so I'm gonna have my mom take it in a little for me haha. I guess that's a good thing, but not when the uniform cost me about 165 dollars!!

So officially, I have 23 days until orientation! The only thing I have to do is get my drug screening done this Friday. I was suppose to have it done already but money issues came up when my husband missed a day of work because my 18 month old got sick. I'm just waiting for pay day to get here... Ummm, Once I get paid from my baby sitting job I'm gonna go shopping for school supplies. Then there's nothing to do but WAIT!!

I'm so anxious!!:uhoh3: I'm going crazy waiting! I just want classes to start already!! I'm already fantasizing about graduation and I haven't even started yet!!! lol I have been waiting two and a half years to do this... I don't want to just do it and pass and graduate; I want to be one of the best students lol. I want to give it 110% ;).

I found out today that I will be getting my clinical schedule today or tomorrow! At least I will be able to plan a little ahead now!

Hi...I start soon for one year,I am In Victoria B.C...I am excited,nervous...wondering "what have I done....!"Thinking...being a care aid isn't that bad ;] However that is just me at the cliff thinking " am I going to jump this time ?or be pushed? I jumped!ahhhhh but Hey..we are all Following Our Bliss!Good luck to us!

You start in a couple of weeks, so I'll put the assessment DVD in your student mailbox. You'll learn what that is, and wheres it as when you start. ;-)

Hi!!! Congrats on going to school......I was just wanted to ask you a quick question!!! I would like to get into the March class do you think they are anymore spots available? I just had a son and he is 3 months old I dont want to leave him but I wanted to get started on my career while he is young!!!! If you can give me any information because you are going through the process please let me know! I would love to go to the night class as well...
