MAR Question

I don't work many overnights, but I think there's something strange about the way people are signing the MAR for 11-7. The way I see it, if I come in at 11 pm tonight 3/24 to work my shift, I should be signing the MAR on 3/24 for any 11-7 treatments. If something is timed specifically for 6 am (for example), then I would sign on 3/25. The nurse who I spoke to said that because most of her shift happens on 3/25, that's where she's supposed to sign for her 11-7 treatments. That doesn't make sense to me, however, but it's always possible that I'm mistaken! Can I get some clarification? Thanks!

The end of a 24 hour day is at midnight, 2400 hours. The next day starts one second/minute later at 0001. So for tonight, at midnight is the end of March 23, and one second later is the start of March 24, 2016.

However, depending on how the columns are labeled on the mar it may be confusing.

I honestly cant recall. I havent done papercharting in 2 months. My main facility is electronic (praise jesus).

Every place I've worked I sign things on the next day for 11-7. I've done agency at 6 different places and they all sign for the next day because most of the shift is after midnight. If it was 11pm I'd sign the same day, but if it says 11-7 I sign for the next day.
