I've recently taken the teas and scored decently enough, though I would like to improve my standing how many time are you allowed to take the test and also do they take the best or the most recent. Does anybody know?:uhoh21:

I've always ordered from amazon

Here you are only allowed to take it twice. Not sure about which score they take though.

you can take the TEAS three times within two years, with over thirty days in between each attempt. The best score is used.

Do you know if that goes for all Cal states as well? Do you think it will make your application look worse if you have taken it 3 times?

I am in Indiana, and it is a state or BON rule about scoring and frequency. Maybe your states BON online has info?

It depends on the school...but most in California allow two attempts

Thanks guys,

I'm in PA, the school I took it for only allows you to take it twice but all other schools ask that you have taken the teas; one school in particular said it's my right to take it at their facility, but I did not disclose that I have recently taken the test. I scored an over all 80.9% but wanted to increase my chances. They do accept you at 70% but I had wanted to increase my chances.

I believe my school allows you to take it once a year... they use the most recent grade? I'm not positive though. I'm in RI and not at that point yet.

I know in charlotte nc, we can take it every 6 months

ATI told me you can take it as many times as you want, as often as you want.

They said how many times you CAN take it depends on the program you're applying for.

:wink2: Hey, I'm in Louisiana and we can only take the TEAS-RN exam twice in a LIFETIME! That sucks! I am taking the test this September and I am so nervous about it. If I, God forbid, should do bad (not get the minimum 70 score required for Charity School of Nursing), I have to wait 6 months to retake. That would make me wait until 2011 to get in to the school.
