1700 clean up go home
Patients are asked to come in 45 minutes prior to procedure time for IV and admission. If they are late they get rescheduled even if prepped. There rides are not allowed to leave the building and Recovery time is 30 minutes. Very efficient business. Yes it is a business an endoscopy business not a hospital.

Holy moly!! I do the same work you do but we would freak out if they did more than 13 cases in one day per procedure room! That's a lot of work. We allow 45 mins for doubles, 35 mins for colons, 15 mins for EGDs and 20 mins for flex sigs. I'm starting to think we have it pretty easy.

Doing exams this quickly may be "efficient" but the patient is getting a lousy exam. "rescheduled if late even if prepped"? that shows a callous disregard for the patient.
Yeah, we just take our pts in the order in which they come. That way if someone is late, they can still get in that day - just puts THEM off their schedule, not really us.
