@mrsinister:
Where you enrolled on MAMC critical care training before ? How was your experience?
I called them up and they informed me that it would be 3 months and 7, 500. No schedule yet, and no additional information was given.
Do you have an idea how they conduct their training?
Do they consider hiring you after the training ?
Do they have other trainings aside from CC ?
Do they accept volunteer nurses who did not study in their college?

i didnt enroll in their ccn. but i would have an idea of how it works because during my clinical duties i can see the ccn students also in the floor. they do everything what a nurse does except they dont have Cis anymore. and based on what my friends stories who took the ccn, they usually have a 2-3 week lecture then the rest are duties. you also have weekly and final case presentations.
you can apply to them after training but you can only work there if YOU ARE AN ADVENTIST.
i am not aware of other trainings aside from ccn
as far as i know they dont accept volunteer nurses whether you graduated there or from other schools.
Philippine Heart Center's Critical Care Training isn't strict with their 1 year hospital experience requirement. They do accept fresh graduates for as long as they do exceptionally well in the written exam and interview. Their barometer for acceptance in the program is a point based system in every requirement you submit, that includes your college general weighted average, board rating, board certificate, etc. Good luck to you Infomaniac88, I took part in their program last August to October 2009 and it's a good investment when your building your experience as a professional nurse.
Sent you a PM earlier about the details. Your application as staff is different with your application to the training. I applied as a staff prior to taking the program but you can also get recommendation from them after the training if you do really well and get a place in the top 10 - they have rankings by the way. Good luck to you! I really hope you make it. :)
