This is what it says:
When a health care provider reports an infant to a county agency, the law requires the agency to take these actions:
•Ensure the safety of the child immediately
•See the child within 48 hours of receipt of the report
•Contact the parents of the child within 24 hours of receipt of the report
•Provide necessary services for the childWhen a health care provider reports an infant to a county agency, the law requires the agency to take these actions:

So I thought the order was:
Health care provider reports to county agency immediately
Health care provider delivers an infant with a fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
County agency ensures child is safe immediately.
County agency contacts parents, sees child, and provides services within time frames set by law.
omg you are a life saver, i have been struggling with this question for weeks! lol and made the change and voila! can you explain to me how the HCP delivers the infant first?
Is that a serious question? The baby needs to be born (delivered) before any signs/symptoms of fetal alcohol syndrome can be noted if it is not known ahead of time.
