There is a lot of information missing here. The thing with these stories is only one side is ever heard (privacy laws prevent the other side from speaking out). Anyhow, there was an oops, it didn't work out well for anyone and I'm sure there will be learning opportunities internally for those involved.

And as usual people who are replying on that page fail to read the entire article. Love the comments about Medicare even though Canada is socialized medicine and doesn't have it.

Ok I just made the mistake of reading the comments section. Now I'm in a rage at the amount of ignorance and self righteousness I saw there. People have no idea what happens in an emergency room. So far I've read six stories of people who went to the ER with a non-emergent complaint and are all ----hurt because they didn't get seen fast enough while nurses and doctors had the gall to talk to one another or look at a computer screen. Oh, and about 15 incidences of referring to nurses as "girls." Also, lazy, twits, etc.

Should have skipped it.

Um, actually, Canada's socialized medical system is REFERRED to as Medicare.
