Male Pre-Nursing Student

Published

Hello all,

I am new to this forum and would like to see if anybody else out there is currently in the same boat I am in...

Right now I am a student in my local community college. I am 21, no job, living at home with my parents, and have been wondering what I want to do with my life. I have recently decided that becoming a part of the medical field seems to be a good fit for me (I like how the body works and I like helping people).

I have gotten all A's in all of my prerequisites and only have microbiology left to take next semester before I am eligible to apply for local ADN or BSN programs. However, I think it would be best to become a medical assistant or CNA before I apply for nursing school, so they won't say something like "well, you don't have any work experience". I have heard that so many times it is sickening. So, I am starting from scratch and want to some be ready for anything that comes my way.

Any prospective male nurses out there??

There are many male nursing students, to the point that to be honest a male pre-nursing student isnt as rare as you think it is anymore. We have a male section, so feel free to post there with stuff you want to get mostly male opinions about.
