Male nurses: Are we welcome?

In your opinion, what are the views of woman as more man go into the nursing profession. Do you fell welcomed? Do you feel they enjoy male presence in the floor?

So far, I've felt very welcome in all of my rotations (even Maternity!!!).

Love having the guys in our class. Wish there were more. Most are very caring and fun to be around.

It has been my experience that no one seems to care one bit. I am in a small hospital and thought that it might be a concern, but I was wrong. One patient's daughter did seem a little suprised, but was still very cooperative. The floor nurses and my CI just treat me like any other student, which I am happy with.
