Hey guys, I am looking into hopefully starting work in a CVICU at a childrens hospital. What kind of scrubs should I wear? I mean, I know what I COULD wear, but what would be a cool way to make it fun. I'm not about to go buy a bunch of strawberry shortcake scrubs tops, or anything ridiculous. Where is somewhere I can find some whacky scrub tops. I'm talking, covered in great white sharks, or t-rex's that look like they are about to devour some little kids type scrubs. (is that too harsh? i'm joking mostly, but just some fun type stuff). Let me know what you guys think, or where one can go to purchase these type of scrubs! Thanks!

A friend of mine used to wear a Superman t-shirt under his flight suit. When he had to start an IV on a scared little boy he'd unzip the top of his suit, show him the Superman "S" wink at him an go on with the procedure. Worked like a charm. Moral of the story is you can't go wrong with super heroes, space stuff, definitely dinosaurs (but not the cartoony type), Hotwheels, Bob the Builder...you get the idea. Does your mom or wife sew? I bet they could make you some really unique "guy" scrubs.
That superman trick is brilliant... I might have to adopt that, wow. I think both my mom and sister would be down to make scrub tops, now I just need to find some good fabric I suppose?

If you look around they have tons of great material that would be perfect for your scrubs (Nascar, Cars-The Movie, superheroes, etc.)

The above ideas sound good to me ... but be careful about anything that may frighten the smaller, more sensitive kids.

That superman idea is pretty neat
