Malcolm X Spring '20

Hi!

I am applying for the Spring 2020 Nursing program at Malcolm X College, and was wondering if anyone can help me. I was wondering what the lowest GPA someone received an acceptance letter, so far have exactly 2.75 but I am worried that it's too low even though it is the minimum requirement. Like any pre-student nursing I am psyching myself out. Does anyone know what their process is with accepting students? I know they are only accepting 70 students during the spring semester. Oh phew! I mean do you mean like the regular Malcolm X student ID? Cause that I have, I thought you meant some other specific nursing ID?

I registered for bio 227(anatomy and physiology 2) and nursing 101 mon @630, wed@1030, and fri@9am!

What about you?? I was told that was the only class we needed right now is that fundamentals course to start

OMG I just now took a look and that's 4 required books totaling like $500 pre tax....and Chicago doesn't even pretend to play with taxes...And my aid covers tuition but i have to pay books out of pocket oh my Lord!!!!

I am gonna get my scrubs from that location they listed though. I need to try it all on. This is so stressful. Omg.

I know, luckily I found one book on OfferUp for literally 20 dollars... as for the others they’re all new editions so there’s hardly anyone selling those. I’m lucky my tuition is covered too but those buts are ridiculous.

omg I went the moment I found out I got in haha, it’s 90 and sum change for 2 sets and a lab coat.

OMG my co worker is always raving about offer up. I'm gonna have to search and hunt over vacation for some deals I hope and pray! My anatomy book is $367 but honestly I'm just gonna leave it. I passed bio 226 without the book and usually get away with that, but for nursing, no I need everything concrete. lol

Yes the place knows exactly which kind and will show you, I got nurse mate from work but I also have danskos haha.

yes! I still have to take my bio 227 too but I decided to take it during the summer so I can focus on each one haha, I’m not good with multitasking hard subjects lol.
