Malcolm X Nursing Program - Chicago, Spring 2020

Anyone Applying for this Spring Term? I'm so lost on how the Nursing Department is processing all submissions -- and the office has not been helpful in giving clear instructions. Anyone else who has completed this process have any tips? My biggest fear is having all requirements turned in and they are not processed.

I called Ms. Nicholson and Holloway on Monday. Now everything is finally "Completed" for me...she said for some reason nobody got around to my medical documents?? ugh...application status still says "in progress." So def call them...constantly lol. They said to wait till the weekend to find out but there are also students who are still taking prereq courses so the cumulative GPA won't change to completed for them until final grades are in at the end of the semester. Some students won't find out until two weekends from now. I just checked the class schedule...there are only 44 seats left....

Hi guys, I am accepted to the nursing program 2020 and would be happy if we share here any experience, questions, and recommendations. Yesterday I got 2 mails about TB test and drug test and I totally confused about redoing TB. What about you, how you prepare for first semester

congratulations lorax!!! well done! all success to your studies ahead in the new year. i have outstanding transcripts from an international university which is stalling my application. i am disappointed but things happen for a reason. i am not giving up but applying next semester for the fall. merry xmas and a happy new year!!

I've been accepted. I was also confused about that TB & Drug test email, so I called MX and asked if we already did our TB test, should we redo it? She said no, just wait until class starts to see if they need you to redo it. But 100% do the drug test next week (Dec 9th-13th) and submit it by Dec 18th. You can call them just double check though.

Don't be afraid to bombard their phone with questions lol thats what I do. They're not really clear sometimes, so call as much as you need. Better safe than sorry.

Yikes I took my drug test on the 3rd cause I’m out of town that week, I hope it isn’t a problem ? the last thing I wanna do is repay for another drug test.

You might have to retake the drug test. I was told not to start doing it until they tell you. Because drug test are only good for 30 days.

Yeah, ur definitely gonna have to retake it otherwise they probably won't count it and that could screw up your application ? I'm not sure if you'd have to pay again, but I feel like you would have to. Call MX today or Monday and find out
