Can anyone tell me how long does it take to process an application in Makati Medical Center? Because Im planning to submit my resume this month of november...

And are there any special requirements that i need to have before applying?

I need some infos...:typing

Thanks!

Hello! I just want to ask is the board rating certificate the one sent thru mail by PRC, the one in blue color? thanks..

Nope. the one that you need to get to the prc, the certified true copy

hey, right after my interview the hr personnel told me she will text me if i qualified for the staff nurse position and told me me to wait for 2 weeks, is that there polite way of saying that you didn't pass the interview?? a stat reply would be highly appreciated, tnx.

Better just be patient and wait. If they dont call or text you after 2 weeks then give them a call.

Hi! How come the HR personnel just asked for my resume only? It's been 2 weeks & 1 day already, still haven't received texts/calls from them.. :| Should I go back and submit another resume, this time with my TOR and Board Rating already?

You could try that if you want but it might also be because they are scrutinizing it more since there are already so many applicants who submitted theirs and from what i heard, if your school is not in the top15 or 20, they wont consider you anymore.

What time and date exactly were you interviewed? There are 2 scheds for interview. One in the afternoon (exam first in the morning) and one in the morning (exam in the afternoon of the PREVIOUS day). From my experience and the experience of others, the envelope containing all the necessary requirements for physical exam are given RIGHT AFTER your initial interview. If you don't mind me asking, did you pass the exam?

Just to share an experience.

First. The medical exam costs roughly P12,000+ for each applicant (All expense paid by Makati Med) so I HIGHLY BELIEVE that if you were asked to do your medical exam already, there is 99% chance that you're already in for direct hiring. That's one of the things my tito (a surgeon working there for 20+ years already) told me. He's pretty familiar with all these processes. After all, it makes sense. Makati Med won't shoulder that much money for one person if they wouldn't hire him/her.

Second. Some HR are really strict when it comes to where you came from. I was with one person who came from (let's just say one of the Top 3 performing schools). I asked her when she passed her resume, TOR, board rating. She told me yesterday. I was shocked because I passed mine more than 1 week ago before I was called. So I thought maybe she had a backer. So I asked her how it happened. She told me that when she passed her resume, the HR told her "Taga (insert school here) ka pala? Pwede ka for interview tomorrow?" And obviously, she automatically said yes. So she was included in our batch right away. She's not a topnotcher, Cum Laude or whatsoever. So I must really say, they are really picky with schools. If you're not in the Top 10 nursing schools, or not from Makati Med College of Nursing, SOME HRs would really prioritize the others.

I would actually have to agree with reshin. Despite the sad fact of being biased, Makati Med would need to assure that the schools where the applicant came from have properly trained their students (as shown in the passing rate of each school). As we all know, there are SO MANY nursing schools nowadays who don't even produce competent RNs.

And to add to that note, I also heard that they do not care much if you are a cum laude or board topnotcher if you didnt come from the top schools in the Philippines. Im sorry if some might be offended by this but I just want to relay what I heard to help guide those who are passing their reqs

That's true. Basically because you might be a Cum Laude because the curriculum in your school does not adhere to the standards. I also know some board passers (line of 7 in the boards) but came from a well-known nursing school, made it to the physical exam. Not to discourage others and no offense meant. You can still try and submit your resume, TOR and board rating, but I wouldn't have my hopes up too much.

Hi guys, D'you guys think Makati Med will still acknowledge my Resume if I'll pass anyway this week, or they're already finish with contacting applicants?

Hi! I was in Makati Med a while ago and yes, they are still accepting applicants. Just pass your resume, TOR and board rating in the HR Dept AS SOON AS POSSIBLE :)
