Hey everyone. Need input please! I'm starting at TCU this fall, and have my CNRN & CCRN. My CNRN is up for renewal in August and I was wondering if any of you maintained cert's while in school? I feel that I worked really hard for them & just letting them go is difficult, yet I know I don't really need them anymore. Help!

I'm not planning to renew my CCRN. I've got enough to deal with just keeping up with school work.
I mostly got my CCRN to help me get into school, so now that I'm in I don't need it anymore.

I agree... I plan on letting my CCRN lapse this year now that I am in school.
On the pre-crna site someone posted that they heard that the CRNA curriculum counts toward CE's for cert's. I am calling the AANN & AACN to find out & will let you know what I discover......cuz if this is true then it will be easy to renew.
I am almost 100% positive that my course work counts towards CE's, but what is the point of renewing a certification that has no real meaning after becoming CRNA.
I've thought of this too. I do not really see a reason to keep them either, except that I have a bit of attachment to them! Guess it's from the investment that went into them...time and money. But you r right...they won't make a bit of difference once I start school.I think that it would be just a big pain having to keep up with them anyway. At this point I'm just so d#*@ happy to be a soon to be SRNA that I could bust! :rckn:
