If you're going to school full time, with no real ability to work, are you guys able to maintain your CCRN license (e.g. with the required bedside hours, etc)?
Also, do the classes count towards CCRN CEU credit?

Im in CRNA school now and i think it would be pretty pointless to keep the CCRN certification anymore. Im just going to let mine lapse. And especially if you are not going to work as an RN at all while you are in school. It wont be of any use anymore anyway.

I am in school as well and had the same thoughts about the CCRN. I think that if you should decide to renew while you are in school your course work should count. As for your bedside hours, not sure that they really check unless you are audited. I have yet to decide if I want to keep mine or not, nor do I see any advantage of doing so.

Hi, I am also in the same position...I recently received my CCRN cert and hoping to obtain my Cardiac Surgery Certification in the near future. But, I have an interview at Duke University for their CRNA program and was wondering the process of keeping up with my certifications during school(if I am accepted...!). Let me know if you guys have any insight, or if it is not really a big deal to stay current with these certifications during school. Thanks !

There is no reason to keep up CCRN while in CRNA school or as a CRNA.

I'm letting mine lapse, I don't see the point in keeping it
