Hi it took my collegues just under 2 weeks to receive theirs. Mine took longer as some paperwork got lost along the way! The annoying thing is, when I contacted them, they wouldn't give me any information without my student pin, I didn't even know I had one at that point!! So, if you don't get it after a couple of weeks, give them a call, but find your student pin no first!

ha ha ha

i just rang the NMC and the guy asked me for my PIN number just like you.

i offered him my student ID number but he didn't want that and i said 'but you send me the PIN number' and he said that they send a batch to uni and THEY allocate the chuffing thing.

and would my tutor tell me what it was - even though you need it to contact the NMC- NO, WOULD HE HELL.:angryfire

still, patience is a vitue they say

I seem to recall my student ID and PIN number were the same, but of course I trained back when Florence Nightingale was still alive :chuckle

thats what we were told originally.

still if i have learnt one thing about my uni it is that they cannot organise a piss up in a brewery ;)

looking on the positive IT IS COMING. (now i just have to try and not lose it!)icon10.gif

Actually your PIN will be assigned by the time uni get it, it's pre-printed. One way you could find out is as soon as you are added you'll be able to find yourself on it by "searching the register" on the NMCs website

If you're getting jumpy!

Congratulations on passing by the way! Well done! Now all you have to do is nurse in the NHS for the next 40+ years - :roll sorry, just kidding. Really pleased for you - and just think, the postman will think you have a crush on them till the PIN arrives - it'll make his day!
