So after two months of searching and interviews, I finally got a job offer today over the phone and quickly accepted in the excitement (it's also a job that I'd enjoy in my area of interest) But in the excitement, I forgot to ask what the salary would be and benefits. And trust me, I already feel stupid so no need to tell me twice. I was just very happy to get my first adult job. Basically, they told me to come in on Wednesday and that training would begin. The only time the salary was mentioned was my expected salary on the application.
Anyway, I'm wondering how I should go about this. Should I call back tomorrow and ask? Or should I wait until Wednesday and see the contract myself? I mean I feel like I'd accept the job unless it was ridiculously low. My loans are coming in this month so I really am desperate. Not sure what I should do.

You'll find out when you sign your contract. Honestly it doesn't really matter. They offered you an RN job. They are the only ones who have done so. You have bills and student loans. You need a few years of experience and they're willing to give it to you. Be happy, this is exciting! If the salary sucks you'll work elsewhere in a few years. For now, it's better than minimum wage!

IMO, the first job is more about gaining experience than making the big bucks. Unless you are the sole breadwinner and your financial situation desperately depends on making max money, take this job and gain the experience.
I totally get where you guys are coming from but I started today and still don't know my salary nor was a contract presented to me/or spoken about because the doctor that hired me wasn't there. I don't know, but this is a little unprofessional and I definitely feel even more stupid now after working the whole day.
well, if you're already working you'll find out on Payday. Should be coming up. Keep us posted! Now I'm curious how much you're earning!
Haha, sorry for the late update! I finally did corner the manager and asked and the paid isn't great but it'll do for now. It covers my loans which was my biggest worry. And the experience as been nice so far. :)
