Macomb Community College 2016

Hello everyone!!! Just submitted my application, have taken my HESI, all prerequisites are finished, now the waiting game begins. I was looking for people who were also on this journey.

Gona check my mail soon az i get home ...... I hope my gpa isnt lower then i thought .... Butttt i used the gpa calculater so i should b good

That's what I did too, but 3.88 is what the calculator gave me. But that was merely rounded up. My actual GPA is 3.8759 or something like that. Don't remember the actual number! Lol.

Which calc did you use on what site .... ?

You received a ranking letter already?? Today, April 8th? My heart just dropped! That seems so early to me because previous years it was around the 15th of the month... I sure hope my GPA goes up too!! Lol

Yes, today! And I had the date wrong, ranking begins the 18th! Doesn't mention anything about when we will recieve acceptance/denial letters though. But hopefully by the end of the month!

I received the letter too! However I actually lost a bit of GPA. I applied with a 3.88 and a 92 HESI, apparently my GPA is actually around 3.8759 or something! So ranking begins April 19th, but when do we find out if we are in?!?

I'm sure you will have no issues getting accepted what so ever lol! But no matter what anyone scores are I know we are all still stressing until the final letters come out which make it official!

I do not remember the exact site, however, I know almost all GPA calculators round up slightly. I just used the actual formula for figuring out GPA and it gave me the same number as my letter. And thank you Mercedes! But I'm still going to be stressing out until the letters come. Even my buddy who landed a 95 HESI and 4.0 is stressing out, and he is a shoo-in!!

I received the letter yesterday as well, & my GPA is 3.8759 & a 94 on HESI.

What makes me anxious about getting the official letter is what I noticed in that super-long thread of the last couple of years of Macomb's applicants & their rankings.

It seemed that there was some other factor in their ranking of the students who were at the bottom of the GPAs/Hesi scores. In fact, I remember two ladies both had similar GPAs and the one with a higher Hesi was put on the alternate list, while the one with the lower Hesi was accepted.

I received my letter on April 29, 2014 so you'll get one soon. Enjoy the time you have now, I know nursing school sounds good now but just wait until you start the program. Glad I'm going on my final stretch here. It's hard and it's a lot of work, especially trying to work at the same time.

Hi All. I'm getting more nervous each day. Really glad I found this site. I've been looking through previous years. Like all the answers are in there. haha. I applied with a 3.85/93. Not too much longer!

Hello guys! Woow when I read all of these good scores that others posted I am even more anxious. I applied with GPA 4.0 and 88 on HESI. Guess what makes me worried is my HESI score, not sure that is enough í ½í¹

I'm just hoping the overall application numbers are down (selfish I know) so that we'll all have more of a chance. 140 people are accepted altogether right? We can do it!! I'm getting married Saturday and all I can think about is whether or not I got in haha

I'm pretty sure it is 160! 40 each start date. I had someone tell me they spoke to an advisor they said they said the Hesi scores have been pretty low in the 70s and 80s. Hopefully that'sthat's true!

Hi everyone,

How's the waiting game going? I am so scared and excited to see the results (but mostly scared) pretty soon! I have a question to everyone here. Does MCC prioritize their own students in ranking like OCC does? I always wanted to ask this but I always forget to do it.
