Hi. Just took the HESI today. Wondering how the ranking will go. I have a 4.0 and got 94.4% on HESI. What do you think my chances are of getting in for August?

Just took the HESI today and got a 93%. My GPA is a 3.92.

I’m applying with a 3.77 GPA. I took the HESI today and scored a 95.6%. This wait is going to be grueling!

I am applying in 2020 with a 3.92 GPA and a 86 on my hesi. PRAYING I get in ??

Wow! Those are great HESI scores.

The HESI A2 Pocket Prep App (it’s free unless you upgrade) was beyond a lifesaver for me. It really showed me where my weaknesses were and where I was ok. I did have a hard copy HESI prep book too. I also dug all of my A&P notes out to review.

I’m applying with a 3.71 GPA and a 90 on the HESI, I really hope I get in ? you guys all have really great scores and gpa’s, congrats on doing well on the HESI! This is going to be a long wait

How did you study for HESI? Great scores by the way?

I purchased hesi pocket prep full version app and also nurse hub online has really good practice tests as well!

First I would recommend to start studying at least a month in advance- I made the mistake of taking only the weekend to study and suffered in the A&P section as a result. If you haven't taken A&P in a while, make sure to brush up on the subject, because many of the questions on the test were very specific.

I found this post on reddit to be super helpful with links to study for A&P and the vocab section.

For the math section, know conversions, how to add fractions and decimals, and multiplication. I found this section to be simple, but if you struggle with math I would focus on the how-to's. If you took the nursing course at macomb, everything that you learned for that math test will help tremendously with this section.

Reading and grammar were pretty simple, but it helped that I took Composition I before I took the test. We went over a lot of grammar rules in the class and that definitely helped. If you need to brush up on grammar, I would recommend looking at Owl@Purdue's website on basic sentence structures.

Good luck on the test! Just put in the time to study and I'm sure you'll do great :)
