Macomb Community College - 2012 HESI

Hi Everyone,

I am reapplying to MCC's program this year as well as a few other programs. I retook the Hesi and scored a 91. I am not sure about my GPA yet, everything depends on how finals goes. As for finding your HESI section average that is available on the Evolve website. It doesn't mean much though, all that matters is your place in the rank. I took my final today in HHSC and there was a student who was accepted into the program for March who did not pass the class. Was anyone else's HHSC course somewhat challenging? I definitely think there will be less students ranked this year due to the addition of that course. Good Luck Everyone!

I take my hhsc final tonight. I did think there was a lot more info in the class than I anticipated. My professor was very good at explaining it all though. Also Orsa there were only like ten in my hesi group also. I wonder if other sections were fuller? I am excited and nervous to see where I fall when they rank students.

The into to nursing class was a lot more than I expected too. Was not happy about the grading scale when I found out an A was 96%I'm applying this year with a 3.72 GPA. I have an 87% on the hesi from last year, retaking it this week...

Just an FYI for you all, the grading scale in the actual nursing program is pretty tough. I was an August start and all the lecture classes so far have used this grading scale:

A 94-100%

A- 92-93%

B+ 90-91%

B 86-89%

B- 84-85%

C+ 82-84%

C 78-81%

Anything below 78% is considered a failing score. You must have a C or better to pass and move forward with your class.

3.7 and a 90

So far my class average is showing as an 86 but I am sure people are still taking it, if not I am still content with my 90, and I do not care when I start I just want to get in!

Also, there are multiple sessions each day so for all those thinking that only ten people are showing up it is because they have them separated to different classrooms

So nervous, cant wait until april to get those letters...

I applied with a 3.6 and 91 HESI. I'm hoping it's good enough for March start or at least alternate.

I am applying with a 3.91 and an 88.4%. I feel like that is a low HESI score comapred to all the 90+ everone here got. Good luck to all!

I applied with a 3.8 gpa and a 90 on the HESI. Hoping it will be enough for any start date.

Does anyone know how to figure your grade point average? Or, do they tell you your gradepoint average when you apply? Do they use the 4 prereq classes to calculate? I'm guessing you multiply each class grade point by the credits, then add them all together and divide by 14.5 (the total credits). If anybody knows....please reply.
