Machine requires SEVERAL rinses after bleaching

Published

We have a Fresenius 2008 K machine. After the weekly bleaching we have to rinse it 10-13 times before residual is back to normal. Bio is stumped ... any suggestions or recommendations or a history of the same? How did you resolve it?

kick it.

check all obvious connections from ports to machine, Hansens, etc. sometimes I have seen the side door(at the hansens) opened up during rinse.

Cant kick it yet... Im still new!

If the acid or bicarb lines aren't firmly plugged in on the front of the machine, it won't rinse clear! Change the o-rings also!

We had one of those at my clinic.. one of the wand may not be sealing tightly enough when it is plugged into the machine. Could replace tiny o-rings around the wands, or do what my fav co-worker did, get a huge rubberband and wrap it around the whole machine, which will hold the wands tightly into the machine while it rinses. After she did that, the machine cleared right away. So the wands probably aren't in there tight enough.

It is possible that the diasafe filter needs to be replaced.
