Hello. I am looking for any students enrolled in the RPN to BSCN program with McMaster. I would love to hear from you no matter what site you are at. (Conestoga, Mohawk, Six Nations) Would just like to know some more about the program and the course load. If there are any online classes or all in class? Currently I am waitlisted for all three sites but will likely end up at CO/MAC. All your help is appreciated!

Hi! I'll be starting at the CoMac location in Sept 2016 also! Did you enroll in your courses yet?

@xokw - Thanks for the all info you've provided! How would you submit your transcript to get transfer credits? I would prefer to decrease the amount of electives I need to do haha.

I'm not entirely sure, I would contact the academic advisor for the program she should be able to help you. We can't include names on this forum, so go to this link and down to "Academic Counselling" and her info is there!

I would recommend enrolling immediately when you can otherwise you will miss out on the good times and electives.

Thank you! I ended up emailing another person because the one listed in your link said "Failed Delivery Notification". Hope I get a reply back soon.

@MaryamSalik - Did you end up enrolling in your courses yet? Did you notice there was a conflict in Winter 2017 with our Stats course and another one? And also, do you know when our clinical dates are?

Hi MaryamSalik - you sent me a PM but I'm not able to respond until I've posted 15 msgs on this site. Send me your email via PM and we can contact each other there. :)

Unless they've changed it since this year, you can't take stats in the winter term, it has to be taken over the summer. The winter term stats course is for basic stream students only.

Wow, thanks for the info! I didn't know that. They should really give you this information beforehand. I emailed the program coordinator for the RPN to BsCN program and she's away until August 22nd. I enrolled in the electives just in case but I would like to use my other university courses as transfer credits. Have you gone through the process before?

Hi There,

I will be joining you in September 2016 in the CoMac program. I am also wondering how to registered as all this seems very confusing not as straightforward as the RPN program was. Please msg me and we can get to know each other a bit more before starting the program. I went to DOON for the GAS program so I am pretty familiar with the college.

Thanks =)

Hello Sasha!

Have you received any information from McMaster on your MacID? They should have sent you one to enroll in the courses. PM me your email if you want to msg over email. :)

I was able to register for all my classes today, so I am all done 😝😝. I am not an active member, just new to posting on this site so it will not let me PM you. My email address is [email protected], email me and we can chat!!

I was waitlisted for the IAHS site and they just sent me an offer for the Six Nations site. Anyone else been offered this or been through the Six Nations MoMac program?

I am just wondering how the program works. Since it says 3 semesters in the offer, does that mean I will have 3 semesters of bridging courses in Brantford and then the rest of the semesters at IAHS/McMaster?

Hi ohmychonny, same situation with me. Was waitlisted for the IAHS site and Six Nations sent me an offer yesterday which I accepted. I have no idea how the program works, was googling for info. From what I have been told by other past students we enter in the bridge prgm in semester 3 at Brantford and remain at Brantford until our last semester. There may be courses that we can take at IAHS but Brantford is our home location. If anyone else has any info I'd love to hear from you.

I emailed Mohawk about it, hopefully they can give me some more info. But that seems a little odd, because after the first 3 semesters the courses are the same as the MoMac students that started from Year 1, I can't see McMaster sending professors to Brantford to teach. From what I understand, even the CoMac students eventually transition completely to the McMaster site after they complete the briding courses.

Hmm. CoMac students do not transfer to the Mac site after completing the bridging courses. Mac actually does send profs to the other campuses to teach :) Some campuses have their own dedicated staff that remain at that site (if they are running the program every year, why wouldn't they have their own staff?), and some profs go back and forth.
