MA licence for non-US schooled RN

I am looking for advise, opinion, anything really! I am a New Zealand trained RN, I graduated from a 3 year diploma program in 1989. I came to the US in 1991, sat the NCLEX in CA and have worked in the US ever since. I have had licences in CA, HI, CO, GA and WA. I moved to Boston in Jan and have been trying since Nov 2003 to get a licence in MA. I also completed an RN to BSN program at the University of Washington.

Basically I am so frustrated by the process, MA wants CGFNS verification of my New Zealand education. It has been more than 6 months and the cost now exceeds $700.00 and no sign of a licence.

The obvious solution would be to leave MA, but I am in a graduate program that is not easy to get into.

Any thoughts, ideas??????????:crying2:

Why is it $700......................The credentials verification is nothing near that cost. Have you verified with your school in New Zealand that they have in fact sent your transcripts to CGFNS? And if so, when? And perhaps you should have them send the transcripts again...............many times things get lost in the mail. Also would recommend having the school send the documents by courier service..................

Sorry that you are having so much difficulty............... :balloons:
