MA in Kinesiology, interested in nursing

Nurses General Nursing

Hello, I am new to allnurses. Does anyone have a suggested nursing path for me? I have a Master's in Kinesiology with an option in Sport Psychology. I recently became a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine & have several fitness related certifications. I'm having difficulty finding work as an Exercise Physiologist & am considering a nursing degree. I may be interested in becoming a Sports Medicine Nurse or working in cardiac rehab, which was my goal for getting my EP-C. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum!

I applied to an Asociates degree nursing program with a Bachelor's in Human Physiology & had a classmate with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology. I think the certifications you have will be helpful if your goal is to go into those areas. I would look into schools and see what they accept for transfer credits. The nursing path depends on the time you're able to commit & resources. Since you already have a Master's, I'm assuming you want to transfer as many courses as possible. Good Luck!
