LVN's in L&D ?

Hello Everyone ! I am going to school in May of 06' to be a LVN. My question is: Are LVN's generally used in L & D ? My goal is to eventually be a RN but for now I wouuld really like to work in that unit when I graduate. Any advice or tips would be great. Thanks- Sarah

I think I want to move to Texas now. That's so great how much of a role you play in L&D. Do you think about going back to get your RN ? The school I'm thinking about going to is $24,000. and thats alot of money so I still have alot to think about. Any advice would be great ! Thanks for all your help.

I am actually in my last semester of the pre-reqs right now. I have applied for the Aug. RN program. If I do not get in, I am doing excelsior right away. I would defintly recommend RN school. I wish I would have went that way in the first place. Good luck which ever way you decide! :uhoh21:
