LVNs and digital disimpactions

Can I as an LVN do a digital disimpaction or is it out of my scope? I work in California if it makes a difference. I keep hearing different things. Thanks!

You need to ask the CA BoN for the definitive answer on what is and isn't in your scope of practice in CA. Should be able to look it up online. Any other opinion without documentation is just an opinion.

Also is it an allowable practice where you work? Some places do not permit it regardless of scope of practice.

In Pennsylvania we do. It is based on the scope for your state and the policy of your employer.
