So I read somewhere that after my first semester of nursing I can shortcut and take the test to work as a cna while in school without taking several classes to become a CNA ....Was wondering if anyone has heard of it or done that while in school to become and LVN?
I absolutely must work while in school . And I know becoming a CNA before graduating would help me get hired .

If you are in California, you are eligible to take the state test to become certified as a CNA once you complete the first quarter or semester of a VN program (a.k.a. nursing fundamentals).
Thank you I was worried it only applied to RN's .
Do you know the process by any chance?

I'm sure one of your instructors at the school knows the process on getting certified as a CNA.
Okay. Thank for the help though.. I haven't enrolled yet will be enrolling soon. Just exploring my options because I went to school for MA and I'm having the hardest time getting hired .
