I am a LVN in the great state of Texas. I WANT to be on the frontline to help my fellow Americans. I currently work at a level 4 trauma center in a small rural town. We are on lockdown, but for us that means no Pt's, or just a couple a day. Which is awful, I am jumping out of my skin. I have tons of extra training, and ER experience. I desperately want to help, but haven't seen anything for the LVN/LPN. I know I am only an LVN, but I CAN help. Is there anyone out there that can point me in the right direction? Or do I have to sit back and watch this all unfold on my couch?

You could try reaching out to individual hospitals in the harder-hit areas (I don't know if there are any major hot spots in TX, but it sounds like LA is struggling). Even if they aren't specifically advertising for LVNs, they might be willing to work with you given your background. I used to work in one of the national hotspots, and my old hospital is cold-calling all former employees because they're so desperate for assistance. It doesn't hurt to ask.
