Hi all!
I graduate lvn school in four months!!! When should I start looking for a job???? Should I start now or wait until I graduate and pass the NCLEX??? Just trying to get things in order!!! Thanks

Hey! First of all, Which school are going currently for your LVN program?
I live in N Texas and go to Dallas Nursing Institute

Since you are probably in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most of the healthcare facilities in the area are not going to call you back for interviews until you have your license. I wouldn't start applying for jobs until you have passed NCLEX.

Was just having the same discussion with my husband tonight. I am less than 3 months from graduation in Orlando.
I think I remember people posting in the past about applying and being offered a job pending passing boards.
Any input would be much appreciated!!

Hi Ilovepurple! Being a new grad i would work anywhere just to get my foot in the door!! I do plan on doing a RN program online!! I work at a surgery center now in the lab but the hospital does not hire LVN! Any info that you could give me would be much appreciated!!

Talk to your teachers about it. I did at my school and they said that a majority of the classes has job offers pending passing exams. Because of this, I'm not so worried about getting a job when I get to that point. Maybe your teachers know something that you don't! =)
