Hope these links help you out. There are several schools in and around the San Antonio area. Good luck!

Try St. Philips College. They have an LVN program. You just need to take an entrance exam. http://www.accd.edu/spc
I am new to the San Antonio area and am interested in becoming a LVN. I am trying to find colleges that offer this program and all I can find is Texas Careers and Baptist Health Systems. The problem is is that there are so many prerequisites for Baptist, and I just want to jump right in to the actual training. Does anyone know anything about these two programs? Or does anyone know any other colleges in the area that offer LVN program? Any info would be appreciated
Hello, I believe that San Antonio College also has an LVN program. Kris
San Antonio College (SAC) does not have the LVN program. They only offer the RN program. There are only three LVN/LPN programs available in San Antonio as far as I know. You already know of two and the other person was correct about St. Phillips. Very cometitive from everything I've heard. Victoria College, which is about 80 miles southeast of SA, also offers an LVN program. That's the closest I could find.

Try Galen Health Institute 733-3056
I live in Kerrville about a 45 minute drive north of San Antonio. Schriener Univerity here has a LVN program. My cousin just graduated from it this past August and really enjoyed the program. The pass rate was around 90% for the 2006 program and I believe you only need to take an entrance exam. They also offer a LVN to RN bridge with San Antonio College. Good Luck!!
The LVN programs in San Antonio are St. Philip's, Galen, and Baptist.
They all offer the LVN to RN bridge, but it takes a lot longer to do that rather than just do the RN somewhere else.
SAC has only the 2 yr RN program, not an LVN.
Galen is private and costs $20,000 more ($20,000 - that is not a typo) but no prereqs.
Here is a link to another thread on this matter
SAC RN Program:

St Phillips LVN

St Phillips also has a bridge program for LVN to RN
How is St. Philips LVN program? I am actually reconsidering now because time and money are short. It will take me 3 1/2 years to get my prereqs and BSN and I am a single mom and need an income now, and need the time to care for my children as I have no friends or family to help. I could do the LVN until they graduate from high school and then do my BSN.
