Hello. OK so, I live in Texas, I am currently practicing as a LVN,  I knew there was a time limit for passing the NCLEX RN, which is 4 yrs after graduating. I had been studying UWorld  and Mark K... Only taken the test 4 times and failed them all. So I called the Tx BON, to see when is the last time I can retake the test. I was told it had expired Sept 1, and now I have to redo nursing school or move to another state, that has unlimited testing. Take the test, pass, relocate back to Texas. Didn't really understand, I think as he was telling me, my mind was set on him telling me, my time has expired..can I jus apply for another  states NCLEX but take test here in texas without leaving.

You don’t need to move state as in physically move but sit exam for another state that doesn’t have a post graduation limit and then endorse to Texas

Look for a state that doesn’t have those restrictions, apply for initial license and Meet requirements. Once passed exam apply to initial state and endorse license

Check the website for the CA BRN for instructions to get a CA RN license as CA has unlimited attempts.  It may take a little longer to get the ball rolling, but worth it when you get what you want.
