LVN to RN online degree...anyone do it?

Hey there,

I am wondering if anyone has done the lvn to rn online and been successful at it?

If you did......how was the clinical taken or what were the requirements of it?

Thanks!

I am currently in the LVN to RN program with Excelsior College through Rue Education. I just started it, so I can't tell you much about how successful it is for me, although I do know a handful of nurses that have been through it and have succeeded with no problems. My program isn't online, though. The books are sent to you and you do all of this at home. I can get assistance online, etc. Check it out! rueed.com :) Any more questions, I'd be glad to fill you in. Thanks for the reply,

I was wondering how they handle the clinical portion. Are you in California? How much does the program run? How long does it usually take? Is it at your own pace?

Thanks for the discussion!

If you are in California, do not even think about it. It is not accepted in the state and will cause you many issues later on.

I suggest that you thoroughly do your homework about selecting a program, and check the BON of your state to see if they are accepted. This program is notaccepted in Ca, and states that on their website.

Be careful..........that is all that I can say...you can also do a search on this on this forum............you will find tons of posts.
