LVN to RN nights/weekends?

Published

I live in Ontario and work in Pasadena (but I'm hoping to find an LVN job closer to home). Anyone know of any schools that have the LVN to RN program that has classes and clinicals at night or on the weekends?

I'm not sure what to do cause I'm at a crossroads. I should get my CA residency in November so I want to get back to school ASAP. I live in Ontario now but not sure if I'm going to stay out there. I work in Pasadena now, but I'm hoping to find an LVN job closer to home. But like I said, that might change too. Maybe I could get an LVN job at night and do school during the day?

Does anyone know of any jobs that will help LVN's finish the RN degree as far as with the time and/or tuition assistance?

Thanks a bunch!

Kelly

jelly,

I live in Ontario too. Try Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga. They're only about 15-20 miles north of Ontario and they have a really good reputation. They have a bridge program for their 2-yr ADN degree if you have a current CA LVN license and have some pre-reqs done. That's my plan as soon as I get my LVN license.I'm not too sure as when clinicals are, but I think it is only like 2 days a week!
