There are many paths to become an RN after you have your LVN in CA.

One option is to complete all the prereqs at community college, then complete a traditional RN program or a shorter bridge program.

Then attend state college to transition from RN to BSN. (Or private) there are also online options.

Another option is to complete the prereqs at a private/vocational school, then complete their bridge program. Many offer RN to BSN programs online after you have an RN.

Another option is schools like university of Phoenix which allow you to bridge from Lvn to BSN.

I think you're in So Cal? There are schools such as Kaplan San Diego out there.

Go online at the website for the nearest community college that has a nursing program. Get what info you can from the nursing department link there. Make an appointment to see a nursing school advisor and take it from there. But without even looking, I can tell you (based on you stating that your LVN program was at a tech school) that you will need to take the assessment tests at the community college where you intend to start. One for English placement, and one for math placement. You take these tests after you have applied for admission online. Once you have your assessments done, you can enroll for your first term. You will see the list of prerequisites at the nursing department link. Dig in. Best wishes.
